Athlete Spotlight: Hollie Pearne-Webb

The Athlete Career Transition (ACT) spotlight shines on Hollie Pearne-Webb this week, celebrating the former athlete’s progress in her career after pro sport.

A GB field hockey star, Hollie Pearne-Webb transitioned out of sport in partnership with ACT, before moving into EY’s Women’s Athlete Business Network (WABN) – a programme designed to develop the next generation of female business leaders.

After successfully completing the programme, Hollie became a Senior Consultant at the professional services multinational. Hollie also serves as a Non-Executive Director at the British Athletes Commission.

Hollie Pearne-Webb made her senior international debut for England against South Africa in the 2013 Women's Hockey Investec Cup and later represented Great Britain in a test match against New Zealand in 2014.

Her notable achievements include winning a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and scoring the winning penalty in the 2016 Olympic final in Rio de Janeiro, securing Great Britain's first-ever gold medal in women's field hockey at the Olympics.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the sport, Pearne-Webb was honoured with the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) title in the 2017 New Year Honours List.

She also served as the captain of both the Great Britain and England women's hockey teams, leading her squads to victory in multiple Commonwealth Games and European Championships.

Off the field, Hollie balanced her sporting career with a role as a Chartered Management Accountant in Strategy & Leadership Compliance at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Her dedication, leadership, and remarkable achievements have solidified her legacy in the world of international hockey.

Athlete Career Transition Co-Director, Andy Moore said:
