Athlete Spotlight: André Brasil Esteves

Athlete Career Transition would like to give a huge shout out to André Brasil Esteves, celebrating the fantastic progress the Brazilian Paralympian is making in his career after pro sport.

A former swimmer, André Brasil transitioned out of sport with ACT. He is now a Sales Support Coordinator at global data centre and internet multinational, Equinix.


André Brasil

André Brasil is a highly decorated Paralympic swimmer who competed in the S10 classification. He burst onto the international stage at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, where he won gold, and broke S10 records across four other swim events.


André continued to shine at the 2012 Paralympics in London, smashing further records in the 50m freestyle S10 event. With an impressive 12 Paralympic golds, 7 silvers, and 2 bronzes in his display cabinet André Brasil stands as a symbol of excellence in Brazilian athletics.
