Athlete Spotlight: Dana Moffat

Focus falls on USA athlete Dana Moffat this week, as we celebrate the former rower’s career after pro sport.

After transitioning from sport into business in partnership with Athlete Career Transition (ACT), Dana is now an Associate in Competitive Research and Analysis at leading investment-management and research multinational, Alliance Bernstein (AB).

Boasting a remarkable nine-year career in sport, Dana Moffat has left an indelible mark on professional rowing. Her journey to excellence culminated in becoming a World Champion in September 2018 when she secured a gold medal in the Women's 8+ at the World Rowing Championships.

 

Dana added to her podium prestige in September 2019, clinching a bronze medal in the Women's 8+. Her collegiate achievements are equally impressive, with NCAA National Champion titles falling in May 2016 and 2018, when she earned gold medals in the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+, respectively.

 

Her dominance extended to the Pac-12 Rowing Championships in May 2019, where she claimed gold in the Varsity 8+. Dana Moffat's legacy as a decorated athlete is a testament to her dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment to the pursuit of excellence in the boat.

 

Dana holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkley.
