Hired Athlete: Margaret Lu

We are delighted to announce that former international fencer Margaret Lu has joined Avanade.

The US athlete transitioned out of professional sport with Athlete Career Transition (ACT) and is now a Senior Consultant within Organisational Change Management Advisory at the professional services multinational.

Margaret Lu attended the World Fencing Championships on multiple occasions, winning gold medals at World Championship events in 2017 and 2018.


Lu also holds gold medals from Pan American Fencing Championships for team events, and won bronze medals for individual events in 2013 and 2017.


Lu graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Psychology and Business Management in 2017, and is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) and LBGTQ+ advocate.
